Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed this afternoon, extending into the evening ahead of an upper level disturbance. While storms were progressive in nature, continued development and repeated rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall over certain locations led to instances of flash flooding. The heavy rainfall also caused a mudslide which damaged a mobile home in Perry County. Additionally, a cloud to ground lightning strike near Somerset set a hay barn on fire.
