The combination of weak low pressure interacting with a stalled frontal boundary along with the soggy air mass produced very heavy rainfall across parts of Monroe County. Union IFLOWS (UNNW2) had 3.07 most of which fell in several hours. Residents described the flooding as 'the worst they had ever seen'.
