In a hot and humid summertime air mass, scattered thunderstorms developed by the afternoon hours on the 18th and the 22nd. A few severe thunderstorms produced wind gusts which blew down trees and damaged property. On the 22nd, slow storm movement and heavy rainfall led to flooding and flash flooding.
