Flash Flood — Houston, MN

Two rounds of thunderstorms moved across southeast Minnesota during the afternoon and evening of June 9th. These storms produced locally heavy rains with the runoff resulting in flash flooding across Fillmore County. Several rural roads were washed out or underwater near Harmony across the western and southern sections of the county including State Highway 16 east of Spring Valley. A deputy sheriff was stranded by flood waters near Granger before moving to higher ground and finding an exit. The
