Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed across eastern to central Kentucky this afternoon, morphing into a large complex during the evening. These formed along a stationary frontal boundary and in the vicinity of the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Gordon. The slow movement of these led to flash flooding in Bath County, while the strength of one storm briefly increased enough to result in a few trees down west of West Liberty.
