More heavy rainfall and isolated thunderstorms developed over parts of the island chain as Lane moved away from the state to the west. Some of the precipitation caused flash flooding on Kauai, the Big Island, and Oahu. One man died on Kauai on the 28th when he jumped into a swollen stream to try to save a dog. The cost of damages was not available.
