Abundant moisture and instability across South Florida allowed thunderstorms to develop along the east coast sea breeze in the afternoon. Sea breeze and outflow boundaries continued to allow storms to develop over the same region causing flooding in Miami-Dade County and a Tornado in Broward. These storms also produced frequent to excessive lightning causing fatalities and damage across the east coast.
