A slow southward moving frontal boundary brought abundant rainfall to southeastern Breathitt and western Knott Counties early this morning. Repeated rounds of heavy rainfall trained along this boundary as it became nearly stationary, resulting in 3 to 4 inches of rain. A couple of roads from Hardshell to Laurel Fork had flowing water across them, while a mudslide was also reported near Hardshell.
