Flood — Lincoln, WV

Sep 27, 2018

On the 23rd a surface boundary was stalled across southern West Virginia. It slowly moved north as a warm front on the 24th and 25th as a surface low crossed the region. This low then pushed a cold front through on the 26th and 27th. Atmospheric moisture was anomalously high throughout the period, leading to multiple rounds of moderate to heavy rain which caused flooding issues across parts of the state.
