Deep tropical-like moisture lingered over the region as an upper level disturbance and slow moving surface front drifted into northern Pennsylvania. Thunderstorms continually developed over the area, producing significant amounts of rainfall in a short amount of time. This triggered areas of flash flooding in previously saturated, and flood damage areas.
