Flash Flood — Honolulu, HI

An eastward-moving trough developing near Kauai caused showers and isolated thunderstorms to form over parts of the Aloha State, with Oahu seeing the heaviest downpours producing flash flooding. Most of the other rainfall events produced small stream and drainage ditch flooding, and ponding on roadways. No serious injuries or property damage were reported.

A slow-moving surface trough, heading east to west, and an upper disturbance triggered heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms that caused flash flooding in some instances. Damages occurred to public and private property, including roads and bridges washed out.
