A persistent flow of deep tropical moisture from the eastern Pacific ocean created several days of locally heavy rainfall across northern Hidalgo County, most of Brooks County, and portions of eastern Starr and Jim Hogg County, resulting in areas of rural/farm/ranch flooding mainly between the 11th and 15th of September 2018.
