Deep moisture across South Florida with a shortwave moving across the Southeast US and a front moving down the Florida peninsula. The presence of this boundary combined with diurnal heating allowed for afternoon convection to develop over the interior along sea breeze boundary collision. These storms moved towards the east coast in the afternoon and evening with southwest flow across the region. These storms produced heavy rainfall and damaging wind gust along the east coast metro.
