A stalled frontal boundary across the region allowed for showers and thunderstorms across the region. There was plenty of deep moisture on the southern side of the stalled boundary where most storms developed in the afternoon with daily heating. Light wind flow allowed storm motion to be slow and storms to produce heavy rainfall. Storms produced hail in Collier and Flooding in Miami Dade counties.
