A strong mid level low pressure trough over the western United States allowed the development of instability and favorable winds for the region in-conjunction with daytime heating. As a result, the afternoon of the 25th with the aforementioned conditions helped to develop multi-cell cluster of thunderstorms across the central and western Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles.
