Widespread showers and thunderstorms developed across eastern Oklahoma during the afternoon and evening of the 6th. Unseasonably moist air across the region resulted in locally heavy rainfall with one to four inches of rain across the area, and as much as seven inches occurring locally. This heavy rainfall resulted in widespread flash flooding.
