With the combination of a surface trough north of the isles and an upper level trough to the northwest, heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms developed over portions of the state as deep tropical moisture streamed north. The precipitation caused brief flash flooding conditions in windward Oahu and the northern portion of Kauai. There were no significant injuries or property damage.
