A multi-day, significant flooding event occurred in the Steinhatchee area of southeast Taylor county as well as Dixie county. A 5 day rainfall total of 31.79 inches was measured by a personal weather station near Steinhatchee. Several homes received water damage in the area. Specifically, there were 48 homes with minor damage and 15 homes with major damage in Steinhatchee. A curfew was in place for Steinhatchee during the overnight hours.
