A prolonged period of showers and storms during the early morning hours of September 12th created some flash flooding across portions of Grant County. Near Beetown, a mudslide occurred on County Highway U and a township road was closed because of water over it. High water also occurred along State Highway 35 near the intersection of State Highway 133 in Bloomington. Radar estimates indicate between 2 and 4 inches of rain fell.
