A warm front moved slowly north across southeast Missouri during the afternoon. Large clusters of thunderstorms produced very heavy rain and a few reports of large hail. Rainfall amounts averaged from 2 to 4 inches during the 24-hour period, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches.
