Flash Flood — Carroll, NH

May 27, 2020

A warm and moist airmass for late May was in place across New Hampshire with localized thunderstorms developing over the mountainous terrain. A slow moving thunderstorm developed over Jackson, NH during the afternoon, with radar estimates of 3 to 5 of rain falling. In addition to the rainfall, local streams were still swollen due to late season high elevation snow melt.
