Flood Cause
Heavy Rain

The remnants of tropical storm Bertha lifted north across the North Carolina Piedmont during the afternoon and evening of the 27th. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding developed in southern and eastern portions of the Charlotte metro area after around 2 inches of rain fell in a few hours.
