A low pressure system developed over the Gulf Coast and moved northeast through the Mid-Atlantic states, spreading heavy rain across northeast Pennsylvania from Friday afternoon through Saturday night. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches and melting snowfall caused flooding of some roadways, basements, and smaller creeks.
