Isolated to scattered thunderstorms developed and moved southeast across parts of southeast Arizona during the late afternoon and evening hours of September 8th. The strongest storms produced heavy rain and gusty winds across far eastern Pima and western Cochise counties. Flash flooding occurred late in the evening into the very early hours of September 9th. Flash flooding of small streams occurred in the Rincon Mountains causing the closure of roads at lower elevations and also near Saint David
