Long period swells generated by Hurricane Delta over the northwest Gulf of Mexico impacted the coastal regions of the Middle Texas coast from the evening of October 8th until the morning of October 10th. The higher swells produced elevated tide levels along the Middle Texas coast with tides ranging from 2 to 4 feet above mean sea level. The higher tides produced flooding of beach access roads along the Middle Texas coast. The higher tides flooded low lying areas and roads near the inland bays.
