In wake of a Mesoscale Convective System (MCS) that moved through the region during the morning hours of July 11th, the air mass remained stable for much of the day, despite a weak surface frontal system becoming stationary across portions of the I-30 corridor of Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas. However, strong insolation throughout the day helped to erode the cloud cover by mid and late afternoon across East Texas, allowing for warming temperatures and air mass recovery. Southwest winds
