A cold front approached the Ohio Valley along with a series of upper level disturbances which allowed for showers and thunderstorms to develop along southeast Ohio during the afternoon and evening of August 13th. Thunderstorms with damaging winds led to multiple trees being blown down around southeast Ohio along with flash flooding observed near Proctorville. A local home weather station in Jackson County measured a wind gust of 80 mph as storms passed through the area.
