Flash Flood — Jim Wells, TX

A slow moving surface to mid level low pressure system developed over the Coastal Bend of south Texas on July 6th. This was the start of a multi-day heavy rain event across the Coastal Bend as the low pressure system remained nearly stationary through the 8th of July. Bands of heavy showers and thunderstorms produced heavy rainfall that caused flash flooding from Alice to Rockport and Refugio on the 7th.
