The remnants of tropical cyclone Ida tracked northeast through the area during Wednesday, September 1st into the early morning hours of Thursday, September 2nd. Southwest then west winds in advance of the system caused minor to moderate (tidal) coastal flooding across portions of the Lower Maryland Eastern Shore adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay.
