Heavy rainfall occurred across Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky on the 1st and 2nd with areas along the Ohio river receiving up to 12 inches of rainfall. The river rose rapidly reaching a crest of 59.8 feet at Portsmouth at 1000 pm on the 4th. Flood stage is 50.0 feet.

At 340 PM EDT on the 8th, Neffs was flooded by Big McMahon and Little McMahon Creeks. At 4 PM, flooding began in Colerain; school busses stranded. At 445 PM, Pine Creek flooded Shadyside. 549 PM, Rte 147 flooded at Bailey Mills; Rte 40 flooded Bannock. 6 PM, Lafferty flooded.

Heavy rains on May 21st and 22nd caused rapid rises in the Cuyahoga River. At Independence, the river went above the flood stage of 16.0 feet around 9 p.m. on the 21st. The river crested at 21.66 feet around 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd and dropped below flood stage at 2 p.m.
