During the evening scattered strong to severe thunderstorms moved southeast into East Central Colorado. Hail up to grapefruit size was reported near Wauneta. The storms went on to produce wind gusts up to 71 MPH near Idalia. Wind gusts from the thunderstorms broke off small tree limbs and tossed a pool cover near Bethune. Behind the severe storms, a large area of moderate rainfall moved in later in the night. Some of this rainfall fell on ground which had received a couple inches of rainfal
