During the latter part of the afternoon a cluster of thunderstorms moved southwest producing hail up to half dollar size and heavy rainfall. The largest hail size reported was near Burlington. Due to the slow moving nature of the storm cluster, flash flooding occurred between Vona and Stratton. The water was deep enough on Highway 24 that motorists had to be rescued.
