Thunderstorms repeatedly generated over parts of southwest Indiana along a convergence axis in the mid levels of the atmosphere. A remnant upper-level disturbance over western Illinois moved southeast, providing support for the storms. The atmosphere was very moist, with precipitable water values over 2 inches.
