After several days of heavy rain from thunderstorms across the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic region, water drained down the Ohio River. During the early morning hours of April 15th, the river gauge at Ashland denoted a rise above flood stage and remained the case until later that evening. This resulted in minor flooding in the Catlettsburg area during that time.
