Flash Flood — Tom Green, TX

Nov 1, 2024

The combination of a surface boundary, moderate instability and good vertical wind shear lead to an isolated supercell thunderstorm over the northern Concho Valley during the evening. This storm tracked across northern Tom Green County and produced large to very large hail and isolated damaging winds. Also, the slow movement of the supercell resulted in very heavy rainfall and flash flooding.
