A slow-moving frontal boundary brought several rounds of showers and thunderstorms to central Illinois from November 3rd through 5th. Storm total rainfall during that time ranged from 2 to 4 inches, with a few locations across the Illinois River Valley picking up greater than 4 inches. Due to antecedent drought conditions through September and October, much of the heavy rainfall readily soaked into the ground and caused little issue other than standing water in urban locations.
