An area of strong low pressure moved northeast across northern Ohio during the evening hours of January 5th, 2007. Moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied this storm system. Most of northern Ohio saw between one and two inches of rainfall on the 5th and 6th with localized amounts up to three inches reported. Runoff from this heavy rainfall caused streams and rivers in northern Ohio to rapidly rise. Moderate to major flooding was reported at several locations.
