Throughout the day, flash flooding occurred mainly across western portions of Middle Tennessee. A large area of showers and thunderstorms moved across the area in association with southerly flow surface and aloft as an upper level trough approached the area. Flash flooding occurred across several counties, resulting in flooding of several area roadways.
