An intense thunderstorm hit the City of Cabool around 9:30 am, as over five inches of rain caused flash flooding and strong winds downed trees and disrupted power service to a large portion of the town. Rain amounts ranging from four to over five inches were reported in less than an hour during the storm. The lower portion of Roberts Park resembled a raging river and a number of streets were closed due to water.
