Isolated thunderstorms moved across Allegany and St. Mary's Counties during the afternoon of the 31st. Across the western portion of Allegany County, several roads were flooded and streams overflowed their banks after heavy downpours. Near Lonaconing, trees were downed along Route 36 at the intersection of George's Creek. A total of 1.85 inches of rain was recorded in Cumberland and over 3 inches fell in Westernport. In St. Mary's county, a weak tornado only 30 yards wide touched down moment
