Hurricane Katrina had weakened to a tropical storm when it reached West Tennessee. The front porch of a house was torn off in Covington (Tipton County). A satellite dish was torn from the roof of a house and a camper trailer had some windows broken in Covington as well. Six transformers were blown in Fayette County.
