Intense thunderstorms, dumping between 3 1/2 and 4 inches of rain within 2 hours, produced widespread flash flooding in the eastern portion of Baltimore City. At last 20 persons were rescued from stranded automobiles. Many of the trapped motorists were on Loch Raven Blvd. and along federal highway 40. No injuries or deaths were reported.
