Scattered to numerous thunderstorms again formed during the heat of the day and persisted well into the evening hours. Outflow boundaries from earlier storms served as the focus for new storms. A warm, moist air mass characterized by surface temperatures mostly in the 80's and dew points around 70 resulted in moderate to strong instability.
