During the afternoon hours of July 1st very heavy monsoonal thunderstorms developed over the high terrain of the Sawatch, Wet, and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges and then drifted east towards the southern Colorado plains. ||Flash flooding and debris flows were reported on the Spring burn scar in both Costilla and Huerfano Counties. Heavy rain and flash flooding also occurred on the east side of Pueblo closing several local roads.||The severe storms that produced flooding in Pueblo also packed
