In the afternoon of the 8th, multiple storms began forming across eastern Colorado. These storms varied in their speed and strength, but overall eastern Colorado experienced baseball sized hail, flash flooding, a tornado, and straight line wind damage with observed speeds of 97 MPH and estimated speeds over 110 MPH. No damage was observed from the tornado.

In the early afternoon of the 16th, a system of thunderstorms formed in east central Colorado and progressed eastward. The strongest cells of this system remained south of I-70 through Colorado. Up to 1.75 inch diameter hail was reported from this system.

During the latter part of the afternoon a cluster of thunderstorms moved southwest producing hail up to half dollar size and heavy rainfall. The largest hail size reported was near Burlington.

A large area of rainfall slowly progressed east across East Central CO beginning in the late afternoon. The first wave of rainfall included hail up to dime size that was reported north-northwest of Flagler. Rain rates of over two inches per hour were reported near Flagler.

During the evening scattered strong to severe thunderstorms moved southeast into East Central Colorado. Hail up to grapefruit size was reported near Wauneta. The storms went on to produce wind gusts up to 71 MPH near Idalia.
