A stationary front draped across the region continued to bring cloudy skies, along with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to the Mid-Mississippi Valley August 26. Rainfall totals ranged from three quarters of an inch up to 5 inches or more in some locations. The torrential rainfall totals lead to some flash flooding across parts of the area.
