Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed during the overnight hours of April 17th across portions of extreme Northeast Texas from near Paris northeast across Northern Red River County and into Southern McCurtain County Oklahoma. These showers and thunderstorms were producing locally heavy rainfall amounts in a narrow line, with another complex of storms which developed south along an outflow boundary across Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas overtaking the ongoing storms near the Red Riv
