Very warm and more humid air became established across the region by midday on the 26th. Low pressure was located well north of the area in Ontario, and another trough of low pressure was swinging southeast from Michigan.

An area of low pressure moved up from the Mississippi River Valley into Ohio. The storm system had adequate moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, which increased rainfall rates to over an inch and a half per hour.

Another major rain event occurred from late on the 9th into the evening hours of the 10th. Rain amounts of 1 to 2 inches were common. Including this episode, the accumulative affects of 5 significant rain events since February 21st, caused the Ohio River to flood.

Several more rounds of showers and thunderstorms moved through southeast Ohio from Friday the 22nd into Sunday the 24th. This time the heaviest rains were a bit further south. The counties of Gallia and Lawrence were hit the hardest.

A cut off upper level low over northern Indiana brought multiple days of rain to northern Ohio. Occassionally the system would tap into some warm and moist gulf air which increase the rainfall rates to over an inch per hour.

Big Wheeling Creek went out of its banks and flooded some roads. County Road 20 in Wolfhurst was impassable. An evacuation of a mobile home park near St. Clairsville was ordered. Jug Run went out of its banks, closing a section of Route 9 northwest of St. Clairsville.
