A cold front moved through Maine on the afternoon of April 27th. Low pressure developed on the front along the coast of Maine late in the day and produced copious amounts of rainfall across the area into the morning of the 28th.

An ice jam on the Aroostook River between Caribou and Fort Fairfield led to flooding which closed portions of the North Caribou Road and Strickland Road. This ice jam developed during the evening of the 20th and persisted into the afternoon of the 26th.
