2 to 4 inches of rain in two hours caused flash flooding. Law enforcement officials and emergency managers reported several roads were either washed out or covered with water as much as 3 to 4 feet deep.

A quick 1 inch rainfall in 15 minutes ending at 0430CST in the city of Brookfield, on top of a saturated ground, and previous rainfalls of 1 to 2 inches the day before, resulted in flash flooding. Water quickly covered some roads to a depth of 2 to 3 feet.

Heavy rain fell overnight causing the Wood River and Memory Lake to overflow their banks. A few homes were evacuated near the Wood River. Around $50,000 damage was done to roadways from erosion along the Wood River. Schools in Webster and Grantsburg were closed for the day.
